Before we get started please make sure that you gave us a valid email address

as we will use email as our preferred method of contact.

Before doing anything else, please write down the following serial number, as you will need it to install Asure ID Connect.

Please note that this download is approximately 70mb in size, and you will need an additional 80mb of temporary space on your hard-drive to install it.

We suggest you print this page to refer to during the download process.

Instructions:

1. Before installing the Asure ID Connect software please make sure that your Windows and Internet Explorer are up to date by doing the following steps.

2. Make sure that your version of Internet Explorer is 5.5 or better and that you have a Cipher Strength of 128-bit. To do this click on "help and about" in Internet Explorer.

3. Click your start button and choose "Update Windows".  When the page comes up choose product updates.   Install all service packs and critical updates.  This is where many of the security holes are fixed. You can also update your Internet Explorer at this time.

When the download begins, please choose 'Save this file to disk', and browse to a location that you will remember. When the download has completed, open Windows Explorer and go to the location where you saved the downloaded file (AsureIDConnect.exe). Run this file by double-clicking on it. The files will be decompressed into the folder C:\asure_id_connect (please remember this location).

After the files have decompressed, go to the folder C:\asure_id_connect, locate the folder titled Asure ID and double click on this folder. You will find the file "setup.exe" - this is the main Asure ID Connect installation program. Run it to begin installing the application. You will also find the serial number for the product in a text file called serial.txt, included in the directory c:\asure_id_connect, should you need to refer to it at a later date.

After Setup has completed, you are ready to begin exploring Asure ID Connect. Please use the login name ‘Admin’ (without the quotes) to enter any of Asure ID's three modules. The ‘Admin Center’ module may be used to create additional login names and user accounts.

Log into the Asure id Connect software "Admin Center" click the "Card Bureau" button on the left side of the screen.  In the Asure ID server list, remove anything that is in there and click the add button and input 209.33.168.250 and click the ok button.  This will take you back to the "Card Bureau" screen, set the "Communication Method" to "TCP/IP Communication" located at the bottom of the screen and select ok.
